From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free.

What Diving Center Sharky says

The Fiesa Reef is definitely the most popular among Slovenian divers. There are several reasons: the dive is interesting and suitable for beginners as well as for more demanding divers. Access to the entry point is very easy. The ridge begins at a depth of 4 meters, about 100 meters from the coast. It is best to start the dive at the Fiesa Hotel, continue to the right side along the ridge past the rollers and dice. At about 100 bars, it’s time to turn around and start a return. How do you know you’re at the starting point? A large hose that will end just below the ridge will alert you to this.

The Fiesa is suitable and highly recommended for night dives, as you will surely see permanent residents of the ridge: sea horses, octopuses, cuttlefish, squid …

Reef under church Piran

The ridge under the Piran Church is definitely our most popular destination – we perform most of the dive courses here, because low water, good visibility and rich flora and fauna provide us with good working conditions. Usually, the dive begins at a point called the “sandbox”, because it is an area of approximately 20m2 that is free from large stones, sandwich and has the actual shape of a sandbox. Located at a depth of 4 meters.

From this point, we head north until we get to a depth of about 12 meters – there ends the stone bottom and a sandy bottom begins, which is not so interesting. So we turn left and swim along the stone edge towards the direction of Piran. After about 20 minutes, we turn to the left and reduce the depth, then turn left again and start swimming back towards the boat. The whole dive due to the low depth can be greatly extended, but the ideal dive time is between 30 and 45 minutes. Because of the calm sea, good visibility and low depths, the dive is highly recommended for beginners.

Reef Punta Piran

REEF PUNTA PIRAN is the most viable part of the Slovenian sea due to the fauna and flora itself. Due to the geological structure itself, it offers safe shelter to most of the living species living in this part of the northern Adriatic. On the punt can be performed 2 dives, namely the north and south sides of the ridge. This is very convenient, because in the case of strong winds from the north, a peaceful dive can be carried on the south side of the ridge – and vice versa.
The maximum depth on the south side does not exceed 12 meters, while the dive on the north side is at a depth of 5 to 22 meters.
On both sides, we begin to sink to the left, then after about 20 minutes or at the pressure of 100 bar we turn and start to return.
The dive is for beginners as well as for better divers.

Wreck KEC

WRECK KEC or in other words, DTM is a military transport ship of II. of the World War, submerged on the Piran – Strunjan route.
It is 2,9 km from the Madonna Cape in Piran, in the north, 16 degrees east. Very little is known about the wreck itself. It is known that it belonged to the Italian army and that it was probably sunk in the spring of 1945. The iron ship’s shell is 47.3 m long and 6.10 m wide; it has three smaller engine hubs and two rudders.
It lies on deck, on a sandy bottom, 24 meters deep, slightly inclined to its left side and with its right side sludge into sludge. In 1984, Zvone Kralj, the leader of the Piran aquarium, drove an archaeological diving team to the boat, which reported that there were scattered ammunition, sacks filled with some white matter and containers in the vicinity of the ship and below it.
A few days before the first visit to the archaeological diving team, somebody drove the ship’s cannon, whose footprint at the bottom could still be seen, and the second cannon, with the intervention of Zvonet Kralja and the police, came to the Naval Museum in 1985. For the Maritime Museum, the diving team raised a parachute glider with a parachute, an ammunition box, and cutlery and a muffler. The team was localized, photographically documented. The shape of the ship and its cross section were graphically documented by sonar.

Wreck Maona

Maona is immersed in the direction of Savudrija – Piran, with its bow facing Piran. Inside, it’s always full of loads – most likely it’s bauxite. Maona is the type of vessel most conveniently described as a “trailer”. This is a non-powered vessel used to carry different loads.
Also, Maona Rossa is a boat that has been reigning since the time of the Second World underwater world. World War II. It was probably submerged due to an underwater mine – as there are 3 similar mines in the vicinity of Maona, located at the bottom and measuring about 1 meter in diameter.

Triglav

The most famous deeper underwater area of the Slovenian sea is the larger hills in front of Piran, about 300 m NW from the Cape Madona, with the greatest measured depth of 38.0 m, also called the “underwater Triglav”. This point is also marked with a 2500 kg heavy concrete pyramid from 11 June 2000, on which a metal plaque with the inscription “The deepest point of the Slovenian sea” is affixed and a Slovenian coat of arms with Triglav is drawn on its head.
The dive is performed primarily for the needs of a follow-up course or a Deep Diver specialty. Due to the complexity of the dive (depth) and the high traffic in the area, the dive is recommended only for experienced divers. At the bottom there is a muddy bottom and a memorial from the independence war – a pyramid that served as a road barricade. It’s a memorial board on it.
Due to traffic and occasional currents, we recommend that the dive be performed exclusively from a boat.
